Chieh Ju (Jeru) Chao, M.D. (CV ’21, CVEC ’22), Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was selected for the AI-focused Mayo Scholar opportunity at Stanford University. During this two-year program, Dr. Chao will work under the direction of Dr. Fei-Fei Li, who is acknowledged as one of the leading AI scientists in the world. Dr. Chao’s research will focus on the detection of cardiac amyloid through a multi-modal approach using echocardiography in combination with other clinical data.
