Christin Harless, M.D., receives Mayo Clinic Ultrasound Research Center pilot grant

Christin Harless, M.D. (S ’14, PLS ’17), Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received a pilot grant to support collaborative, innovative ultrasound research from the Mayo Clinic Ultrasound Research Center for her submission “Ultrasonic Perfusion Imaging for Monitoring Mastectomy Skin Microcirculation in Post-mastectomy Irradiated Patients before and after Autologous Fat Transfer.” The submission was in collaboration with Minh-Doan Nguyen, M.D., Ph.D.

The goal of the grant program is to provide focused, one-time funds for imaginative proof-of-principle studies or model development needed to establish the foundation for future team science projects and extramural grants.

Dr. Harless is an assistant professor of plastic surgery in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
