Christina Pabelick, M.D. (ANES ’03), chair, Mayo Clinic Rochester

Christina Pabelick, M.D. (ANES ’03), Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was invited to serve as chair of the Surgery, Anesthesiology and Trauma Study Section, Surgical Sciences, Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering Integrated Review Group, Center for Scientific Review, for a term beginning July 1, 2023, and ending June 20, 2025. Membership on an Initial/Integrated Review Group represents a major commitment of professional time and energy as well as a unique opportunity to contribute to the national biomedical research effort. IRGs review applications submitted to the NIH, make recommendations on the applications to the appropriate NIH national advisory council or board, and survey the status of research in their fields of science. Dr. Pabelick is a professor of anesthesiology and physiology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
