Cyril Varghese, M.D., Division of Pulmonary Medicine, Mayo Clinic in Arizona

Cyril Varghese, M.D. (I ’16, THDC ’20), Division of Pulmonary Medicine, Mayo Clinic in Arizona, received a 2022-2023 Mayo Clinic Investment for Extramural Grants Award (MEGA) for his project “Developing a Machine Learning Algorithm That Analyzes Voice Patterns to Identify Risk of Aspiration.” MEGA is an intramural investment mechanism to provide pilot support to junior Mayo Clinic faculty on the Arizona campus who plan to pursue subsequent funding through competitive extramural mechanisms. Dr. Varghese is an assistant professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
