Daniel Hall-Flavin, M.D., is medical director of Dolores Jean Lavins Center for Humanities in Medicine at Mayo Clinic Rochester
Daniel Hall-Flavin, M.D. (I ’80, P ’83), Division of Addiction Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, has been chosen as the medical director of the Dolores Jean Lavins Center for Humanities in Medicine in Rochester. He will chair that site’s Humanities in Medicine committee and provide strategic direction to ensure the center supports Mayo Clinic’s primary value by integrating arts and other expressions of human culture into the healing environment. Dr. Hall-Flavin succeeds Paul Scanlon, M.D. (MED ’78), who served as medical director for more than 15 years.
Dr. Hall-Flavin is an associate professor of psychiatry in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
