David R. Holmes Jr., M.D.

David R. Holmes Jr., M.D. (I ’74, CV ’76), Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received an honorary membership in the Irish Cardiac Society in recognition and appreciation of his commitment and dedication to the profession of cardiology.

The award happened at a meeting of the American College of Cardiology during an informal celebration to highlight the history and benefits of the Irish-U.S. relationship and to thank those who have been instrumental in securing fellowships and mentoring Irish trainees over the years.

Dr. Holmes is a professor of medicine.
