Deanne Kashiwagi, M.D., is chair, Department of Hospital Internal Medicine, SSMC, Abu Dhabi

Deanne Kashiwagi, M.D. (HIM ’09), is now chair of the Department of Hospital Internal Medicine at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. She is responsible for providing the department’s clinical leadership, strategic and operational direction.

Dr. Kashiwagi was vice chair of the Division of Hospital Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She is an associate professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.

SSMC is a 740-bed hospital established as a joint venture between Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), the largest healthcare network in UAE, and Mayo Clinic. Dr. Maalouf is a professor of Medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
