Derek O’Keeffe, M.B., B.Ch., B.A.O. (ENDO ’15), appointed National Clinical Lead

Derek O’Keeffe, M.B., B.Ch., B.A.O. (ENDO ’15), was appointed as National Clinical Lead for Diabetes in Ireland. This national clinical leadership role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to develop the policies, procedures and guidelines for diabetes care in Ireland. He will develop the 10-year diabetes strategy for Health Service Executive, the national health system, to ensure exemplar patient care. Dr. O’Keeffe is an endocrinologist at University Hospital Galway and the professor of medical device technology at the University of Galway.
