Douglas Packer, M.D., is awarded American Academy of Cardiology’s Distinguished Scientist Award

Douglas Packer, M.D. (CV ’89), Division of Heart Rhythm Services, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received the American Academy of Cardiology’s Distinguished Scientist Award at the group’s annual scientific sessions in New Orleans. The award is in recognition of having made major scientific contributions to the advancement of scientific knowledge in the field of cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Packer is a professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
