Eelco Wijdicks, M.D., Ph.D., receives an award, Mayo Clinic Rochester

Eelco Wijdicks, M.D., Ph.D., Division of Critical Care and Hospital Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received a 2022 Distinguished Educator Award from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. His teaching and research in neurointensive care, coma and brain death have opened new pathways and helped to shape government policies in the U.S. and internationally. Dr. Wijdicks is a professor of neurology and the history of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
