Eleshia Morrison, Ph.D., recognized as Future History Maker by Minneapolis Dept of Civil Rights
Eleshia Morrison, Ph.D. (PSI ’15), Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was recognized by the Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights as a Future History Maker. The commendation honors emerging leaders from the Twin Cities African-American community who work toward advancing civil rights and removing barriers to equity.
Dr. Morrison was recognized for her work in finding ways to improve health equity. She researches health disparity and diversity factors that affect illness trajectories and health behaviors.
Dr. Morrison specializes in addiction medicine and is an assistant professor of psychology. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical health psychology at Mayo Clinic.
