Eric Williamson, M.D.

Eric Williamson, M.D. (MED ’98, TY ’99, RD ’03), has been named chief medical information officer at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Williamson will collaborate closely with Roshy Didehban, Chuck Treder, and Fabricio Amorim, who are collectively leading the IT organization until a new chief information officer is appointed. Together, they will strengthen the efficiency, adoption and innovation of Mayo’s technology. Dr. Williamson succeeds Steve Peters, M.D. (I ’82, THD ’84, CCMI ’85), who will continue to provide leadership as a consultant and professor in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, along with his other institutional roles, including in IT.
