George Mastorakos receives CoDE Innovation award from Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation

George Mastorakos (BMS ’14, MED ’21), a student at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine—Arizona Campus, received a 2018 CoDE Innovation award from Mayo Clinic’s Center for Innovation.

Connect Design Enable (CoDE) Innovation awards encourage collaboration across Mayo Clinic by connecting good ideas with the resources and tools they need to grow.

Mastorakos submitted a proposal, “R00T: Artificially Intelligent Virtual Triage and E-Consult System,” in conjunction with his classmate Aditya Khurana. The students will work on developing an electronic platform that will interact intelligently with patients to assess their condition and suggest diagnoses for providers to consider.
