George Vasmatzis, Ph.D. (HSR ’99), Department of Molecular Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received a Mayo Clinic Office of Translation to Practice Innovation Accelerator Award for the project
“Detection of High-Copy Number, Tumor-Specific Chromosomal Rearrangements in Circulating-Free DNA From the Plasma of High-Grade Glioma Patients.” Dr. Vasmatzis is an associate professor of molecular medicine and an assistant professor of laboratory medicine and pathology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
