Gerardo Colon-Otero, M.D., receives NIMHD U54 Health Disparity Center Grant

Gerardo Colon-Otero, M.D. (I ’82, HEM ’84), Division of Hematology/Oncology, Mayo Clinic in Florida and dean, Mayo Clinic School of Medicine Florida campus, received the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) U54 Health Disparity Center Grant.

The funding was granted to the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University with the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center as the collaborating institution for the training of cancer junior faculty and postdoctoral fellows.

Dr. Colon-Otero is a professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
