Gloria Kim, Ph.D. (PHYS ’22), Department of Immunology at Mayo Clinic, received a 2023 Collaborative Research Seed Grant Program in the Mayo Clinic and Arizona State University Alliance for Health Care for the project “A Biomimetic and Organotypic Model of Brain Tumor-CAR-T Cell Interactions.” With the goal of advancing research, improving patient care and reshaping medical education, the alliance’s seed grant program provides fertile ground for research on a small scale, with the potential to attract funding for larger studies that can significantly improve patient care. Dr. Kim is an assistant professor of biomedical engineering in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
