Halena Gazelka, M.D., named to HHS Pain Management Best Practices Inter-Agency Task Force

halena gazelkaHalena Gazelka, M.D. (ANES ’10, PAIN ’11, PLM ’15), Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was named to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Pain Management Best Practices Inter-Agency Task Force. The task force is charged with identifying gaps and inconsistencies in pain management best practices among federal agencies and making recommendations that address the gaps.

Dr. Gazelka is director of Inpatient Pain Services in Rochester and chairs Mayo Clinic’s Clinical Practice Committee Opioid Stewardship Program. She is an assistant professor of anesthesiology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
