Halena Gazelka, M.D.

Halena Gazelka, M.D. (ANES ’10, PAIN ’11, PLM ’15), Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, is chair of the Mayo Clinic Clinical Practice Committee Opioid Stewardship Program. She participated in a round table discussion with Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Tina Smith to discuss the opioid epidemic in Minnesota. She also served on a multi-stakeholder group convened by the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement (ICSI) aimed at addressing the opioid crisis.

Dr. Gazelka also has been nominated to be a member of the Department of Health and Human Services Pain Management Best Practices Inter-Agency Task Force.
