Hatim Hassan, M.D., Ph.D. (NEPH ’22), receives an award, Mayo Clinic Rochester

Hatim Hassan, M.D., Ph.D. (NEPH ’22), Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received a Mayo Clinic Office of Translation to Practice Innovation Accelerator Award for the project “Discovery of Small Molecule Activators and/or Positive Allosteric Modulators for the Key Gut Oxalate Transporters.” The Innovation Accelerator Award program supports projects that aim to develop new technologies with commercialization potential, such as medical devices, diagnostics, therapeutics, small-molecule drug discovery, healthcare information technology, or other human health innovations, including practice initiatives. Dr. Hassan is an associate professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
