Jack O’Horo, M.D.

Jack O’Horo, M.D. (CCMI ’14, INFD ’16), has been appointed chair of the Division of Public Health, Infectious Diseases and Occupational Medicine (PHIDOM) at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Dr. O’Horo will partner closely with the chair of the Department of Medicine, administrative partners and other divisional and departmental leaders to define and achieve PHIDOM’s overall mission and strategic goals in alignment with the Department of Medicine’s DOM35 vision and Mayo Clinic’s Bold. Forward. Strategy. Dr. O’Horo succeeds Elie Berbari, M.D. (INFD ’98), who was appointed chair of the PHIDOM division in 2022 and transitioned from that role last August to serve as chair of the Department of Medicine in Rochester. During his tenure as PHIDOM chair, Dr. Berbari successfully led the merger of the Division of Infectious Diseases with the Division of Preventive, Occupational and Aerospace Medicine.
