James Naessens, Sc.D.

James Naessens, Sc.D. (HSR ’07), has been named head of Mayo Clinic’s Section of Health Services Research in the Division of Health Care Policy & Research.

Dr. Naessens joined Mayo Clinic in 1982. He was acting head of the Division of Health Care Policy & Research from 1999 to 2002, became a clinical associate in 2001 and was named a consultant in 2007. He is a professor of health services research, scientific director for the Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery on the Florida campus and a collaborative scientist in the Office of Health Care Practice and Policy in the Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery on the Rochester campus.
