Javier Magrina, M.D., has alumni group named for him among Spanish physicians

Javier Magrina, M.D. (OBG ’78), Department of Medical and Surgical Gynecology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, has an alumni group named for him. The Javier Magrina Alumni Group is comprised of 72 gynecologists from Spain who completed observerships in gynecologic surgery and oncology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona between 1988 and 2018. The group has met in Barcelona and Madrid, Spain. The group’s objectives are to maintain academic activities, continue collegiality and organize future meetings with surgical themes.

Dr. Magrina is a professor of obstetrics and gynecology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
