Jeanette Eckel Passow, Ph.D. (HSR ’03), a consultant in Biomedical Statistics and Informatics at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, has been named head of the Section of Computational Genomics.

She also is director of the Computational Genomics Seminar Series, a member of the Bioinformatics Program leadership team, the biostatistics core director for the Mayo Brain Tumor Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) and a member of the Mayo Clinic Neuro-Oncology Executive Committee.

Her research program includes investigating the molecular alterations associated with cancer progression, with an emphasis in kidney and brain cancer.
