Jun Lu, M.D., receives Patient Care Hero award from American Academy of Dermatology for serving women who have been incarcerated

Jun Lu, M.D. (IMM ’04, I1’ 06, DERM ’10), associate professor of dermatology at UConn Health, was recognized with a national Patient Care Hero award from the American Academy of Dermatology for using telemedicine to improve the health and well-being of women who have been incarcerated.

Dr. Lu partnered with the Connecticut Department of Correction to provide virtual specialized preventive care and treatment dermatologic care for women at York Correctional Institute.
