Kaaren Reichard, M.D. (HEMP ’11), was awarded Mayo Clinic’s Distinguished Educator, Mayo Clinic Rochester

Kaaren Reichard, M.D. (HEMP ’11), Division of Hematopathology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was named Mayo Clinic’s Distinguished Educator of 2022. The Distinguished Educator Award is given annually to the best educators at Mayo Clinic. As the chair of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology’s Education Oversight Committee, Dr. Reichard has led initiatives to enhance resident and fellow training, new staff onboarding and continued staff education. She also leads the department’s Well-Being Work Group and has contributed significantly to the field of laboratory medicine and pathology through her extramural teaching and numerous scholarly activities. Dr. Reichard is a professor of laboratory medicine and pathology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
