Kathleen A. Young, M.D., receives Mayo Clinic’s LeeAnn McCaffrey, M.D. Women in Medicine Outstanding Achievement Award

Kathleen A. Young, M.D. (I ’18), an internal medicine resident at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received the 2018 LeeAnn McCaffrey, M.D. Women in Medicine Outstanding Achievement Award for the Internal Medicine Residency Program of the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education.

The award was established in 1999 to recognize the memory of Dr. LeeAnn McCaffrey, an internist and educator in the Division of Community Medicine at Mayo Clinic. The award recognizes global excellence in clinical medicine, research and scholarly accomplishments.

Dr. Young will begin a cardiology fellowship at Mayo Clinic in July.
