Kathy MacLaughlin, M.D., featured in Time magazine article about cervical cancer prevention

Kathy MacLaughlin, M.D. (FM ’03), Department of Family Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was featured in a Time magazine article about cervical cancer prevention. Dr. MacLaughlin conducted a study the examined rates of cervical cancer screening in Olmsted County, Minnesota, and determined that socioeconomic and geographic issues can create substantial barriers to screening access and often follow-up care.

Dr. MacLaughlin is a Population Health Scholar in the Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery at Mayo Clinic, and an assistant professor of family medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
