Kristopher Croome, M.D., receives 2018 American Society of Transplant Surgeons Vanguard Prize

Kristopher Croome, M.D. (S-GI ’14), Division of Transplant Surgery, Department of Transplantation at Mayo Clinic in Florida, received the 2018 American Society of Transplant Surgeons Vanguard Prize for his paper “Improving National Results in Liver Transplantation Using Grafts from Donation after Cardiac Death Donors,” which was published in the December 2016 issue of Transplantation.

The society established the award to recognize and honor outstanding contributions by junior members for the best paper published in the preceding 18 months.

Dr. Croome also is an assistant professor of surgery in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
