LaPrincess Brewer, M.D., receives Wenger Award for Excellence in Medical Research from WomenHeart

LaPrincess Brewer, M.D. (CV ’16), Division of Preventive Cardiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received the Wenger Award for Excellence in Medical Research from WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease. Dr. Brewer received this award in recognition of her research dedicated to cardiovascular health and wellness in African American women related to her leadership as principal investigator of the NIH and American Heart Association-funded FAITH! (Fostering African-American Improvement in Total Health) Program.

Dr. Brewer is an assistant professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
