Leal Segura, M.D. (ANES ’09), awarded a cash prize, Mayo Clinic Rochester

Leal Segura, M.D. (ANES ’09), Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was awarded a $5,000 cash prize award from the NIH for her submission, “The Quantitative Micro-Miniature Intrapartum Monitor, to the RADx Tech Fetal Monitoring Challenge – Phase 1.” She will advance to the Phase 2 – Technology Demonstration & Pitch Present Event to be held at the NIH campus in Bethesda. Dr. Segura is an assistant professor of anesthesiology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
