Leslie Simon, D.O., named chair, Department of Emergency Medicine, Mayo Clinic Florida

Leslie Simon, D.O. (EM ’13), was named chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Florida, succeeding Scott Silvers, M.D. (EM ’01), who chaired the department since 2008.

Before joining Mayo Clinic in 2013, Dr. Simon helpd positions in emergency medicine and military and teaching programs at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida; Naval Medical Center San Diego; Naval Hospital Guam; and U.S. Naval Hospital Rota, Spain.

Dr. Simon is an assistant professor of emergency medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
