Maria (Daniela) Hurtado Andrade, M.D., Ph.D. (ENDO ’19), Division of Endocrinology at Mayo Clinic in Florida, is a 2023 scholar in the Mayo Clinic NIH K12 Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH) Program. Over the past 13 years, the program has demonstrated progress toward the long-term goal of increasing the science workforce of interdisciplinary teams translating scientific discoveries into clinical practice to improve women’s health. Dr. Hurtado Andrade’s research focuses on predictive factors for long-term weight gain in breast cancer survivors. She is an assistant professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
