Mark Truty, M.D., receives NIH R01 grant
Mark Truty, M.D. (S ’04, CI ’06, S ’09), Division of Hepatobiliary and Pancreas Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, and Ajit Goenka, M.D. (RD ’18), Division of Nuclear Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, along with collaborators from the University of California, San Francisco, were awarded an NIH R01 grant for their entitled proposal “Optimizing Pancreatic Cancer Management with Next Generation Imaging and Liquid Biopsy.”
This funded grant includes a clinical trial on the integration of novel functioning imaging and fluid-based tumor monitoring in pancreatic cancer therapy and incorporates Mayo Clinic’s treatment paradigms for patients with this malignancy.
Dr. Truty is an associate professor of surgery in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
