Mark Tyson II, M.D., is a Kern Scholar, Mayo Clinic Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery
Mark Tyson II, M.D. (PRES ’11, U ’15), Department of Urology, Mayo Clinic in Arizona, was named a 2018 Kern Scholar by the Mayo Clinic Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery. His research focus is quality of life after treatment for bladder cancer with the use of patient-reported outcomes.
The Kern Scholars Program is available to clinically trained, doctoral-level Mayo Clinic fellows and junior faculty. The program prepares the next generation in health services research, leveraging the disciplines of social sciences including epidemiology, statistics and sociology.
Dr. Tyson also is an assistant professor of urology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
