Mark Wieland, M.D., receives Pilot Project funding from Mayo Clinic Office of Health Disparities Research

Mark Wieland, M.D. (I ’08, CMR ’09), Division of Primary Care Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received 2018 Pilot Project funding from the Mayo Clinic Office of Health Disparities Research (OHDR) for his project “Closing the Gap: Improving Cancer Screening in Patients with Limited English Proficiency.”

OHDR awards are intended to facilitate research that will lead to extramural funding in health disparities research.

Dr. Wieland is an associate professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
