Mayo’s George Bartley, M.D., named CEO of American Board of Ophthalmology

George Bartley, M.D. (OPH ’85), Department of Ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was named CEO of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He will continue his surgical practice at Mayo and will step down from his role as editor-in-chief of Ophthalmology, which he has held since 2012.

Dr. Bartley served as CEO of Mayo Clinic in Florida from 2002 to 2009, and chair of the Department of Ophthalmology in Rochester from 1992 to 2001.
