Mitesh Borad, M.D. (HEMO ’08), inducted into an honor society, Mayo Clinic Arizona

Mitesh Borad, M.D. (HEMO ’08), Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, was inducted into the American Society for Clinical Investigation, a nonprofit medical honor society with more than 3,000 physician-scientists representing all medical specialties. The society advances research that improves treatment of diseases. Dr. Borad co-leads the Gene and Virus Therapy Program at the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center, developing new gene-delivery systems and gene- and virus-based therapies for cancer treatment. As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Borad researches and treats a variety of cancers, including gallbladder cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma and pancreatic cancer. Dr. Borad is a professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
