Mrinal Patnaik, M.B.B.S. (HEMO ’11), receives an award, Mayo Clinic Rochester

Mrinal Patnaik, M.B.B.S. (HEMO ’11), Division of Hematology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received a 2022 Precision Medicine Award from the Mayo Clinic Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCaTS) and Center for Individualized Medicine. The goal of the Precision Medicine Awards is to support projects that will lead to applications for extramural funding. The scope of projects funded by Precision Medicine Awards support integrating genomic sequencing and personalized medicine tools with Mayo’s wealth of clinical knowledge and expertise to uncover and apply new ways to predict, diagnose and treat disease. Dr. Patnaik’s project is “Epigenetic Landscape in VEXAS Syndrome.” Dr. Patnaik is a professor of medicine and an assistant professor of oncology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
