Nandita Khera, M.D., is named a 2017 Kern Scholar

Nandita Khera, M.D.

Nandita Khera, M.D. (HEMO ’11), Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, has been named a 2017 Kern Scholar.

The Kern Scholars Program, sponsored by Mayo Clinic’s Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Healthcare Delivery, trains clinicians to use tools from applied sciences to rigorously assess and improve patient-centered outcomes and health care delivery systems.

The main goals of Dr. Khera’s research include helping stem cell transplant patients be better informed and prepared for the psychosocial and financial consequences of their treatment regardless of their sociodemographic profile.

Dr. Khera also is an assistant professor of medicine.
