Nicholas Chia, Ph.D., receives American Association for Cancer Research Fredrick P. Li Impact Award

Nicholas Chia, Ph.D. (BIOMB ’12), Department of Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, won an American Association for Cancer Research award — The Fredrick P. Li Impact Award — for the research article “Collecting Fecal Samples for Microbiome Analyses in Epidemiology Studies,” published in the February 2016 issue of Cancer Epidemiology. Dr. Chia has joint appointments in the departments of Health Sciences Research, Physiology and Biomedical Engineering, and Laboratory Medicine and Pathology.

He is an associate professor of surgery and assistant professor of biophysics in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
