Nicole Sandhu, M.D., Ph.D. (MBIO ’97, I ’04), was recognized with an award, Mayo Clinic Rochester

Nicole Sandhu, M.D., Ph.D. (MBIO ’97, I ’04), Division of General Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was recognized with the 2023 Bertha Van Hoosen Award at the American Medical Women’s Association 2023 Annual Meeting. The Bertha Van Hoosen Award is named for the founder and first president of AMWA. It honors one or more women physicians who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and service to women physicians and students through AMWA. Dr. Sandhu is a past president of the AMWA and currently serves as chair of the group’s Governance Committee. Dr. Sandhu is an associate professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
