Nilay Shah, Ph.D., named deputy director for Research, Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery at Mayo Clinic

Nilay Shah, Ph.D.

Nilay Shah, Ph.D. (HSR ’14), chair of the Division of Health Care Policy & Research at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, has been named the first deputy director for Research in the Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery.

Dr. Shah will support the continued mission of the Kern Center and guide its ongoing alignment with the Mayo Clinic Research Committee. The Kern Center recently integrated with and now includes the Center for Innovation and Center for Translational Informatics and Knowledge Management.

Dr. Shah, reports to executive dean for Research Gregory Gores, M.D. (I ’83, GI ’85, GI ’86).

Dr. Shah also is an associate professor of health sciences research.
