Nilufer Ertekin-Taner, M.D., Ph.D. (NSCI ’03, I1 ’04, N ’07, NBN ’08), elected to serve on a committee, Mayo Clinic Florida

Nilufer Ertekin-Taner, M.D., Ph.D. (NSCI ’03, I1 ’04, N ’07, NBN ’08), enterprise chair of the Department of Neuroscience, was elected to serve on a National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine committee to conduct a study and recommend research priorities to prevent and treat Alzheimer’s and related dementias. This committee will advise the NIH for funding priorities and a national strategy to overcome major challenges for scientific advancement related to these disorders. Dr. Ertekin-Taner is a professor of neurology and neuroscience in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
