Omar Abou Ezzeddine, M.D., wins Best Young Oral Abstract Competition

Omar Abou Ezzeddine, M.D. (center)

Omar Abou Ezzeddine, M.D. (I ’10, CV ’15, CTSA ’16, TXCV ’16), Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, wrote an abstract that was one of the three best-scored abstracts out of hundreds submitted to the International Conference in Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT. He was invited to present his work at the Best Young Oral Abstract Competition Session in Vienna, Austria, where he won the competition.

The abstract was entitled “Myocardial energetics of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.”

Dr. Abou Ezzeddine is an assistant professor of medicine.
