Manuel Pera was elected President of the European Society for Diseases of the Esophagus (ESDE) at the annual meeting held in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) in November 2013. He will serve as president from January 2014 to November 2015.
Professor Pera was recently named for a second term as Associate Editor of Diseases of the Esophagus, the Official Journal of the International Society for Diseases of the Esophagus (ISDE).
