Patricia Mergo, M.D. (RD ’88), will be receiving an award, Mayo Clinic Florida

Patricia Mergo, M.D. (RD ’88), chair, Division of Thoracic/Cardiac Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Florida, will be recognized for outstanding achievements in the practice of radiology with the Florida Radiological Society Gold Medal Award. Dr. Mergo serves on six committees with the Florida Radiology Society and was president from 2019 to 2020. She has lectured internationally and participated in medical mission trips to Haiti and Vietnam, teaching imaging techniques and diagnoses to trainees and faculty. She is an associate professor of radiology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
