Patrick Dean, M.D., named surgical director, Mayo Clinic Rochester Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program

Patrick Dean, M.D. (S ’03, TRANS ’06), Division of Transplantation Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, is the new surgical director of the Mayo Clinic Rochester Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program.

Dr. Dean is a graduate of Princeton University and received his medical degree from the University of Alabama. He completed a residency in general surgery and fellowship in transplantation surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He joined the staff of the Division of Transplantation Surgery, Department of Surgery, in 2006.

Dr. Dean also is director of the Transplantation Surgery Fellowship and an associate professor of surgery. He succeeds Mikel Prieto, M.D. (TRANS ’99), in this new role.
