Patrick Dean, M.D. (S ’03, TRANS ’06), Division of Transplantation Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, has been appointed to the UNOS Membership and Professional Standards Committee (MPSC) for a three-year term.

The MPSC is charged with ensuring that OPTN/UNOS member clinical transplant centers, independent organ procurement agencies, independent tissue typing laboratories and non-institutional members meet and remain in compliance with OPTN/UNOS criteria for institutional membership.is the new surgical director of the Mayo Clinic Rochester Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program.

Dr. Dean is surgical director of the Mayo Clinic Rochester Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program, director of the Transplantation Surgery Fellowship and an associate professor of surgery.
