Petra Elias, M.D. (ANES ’24), Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was awarded the Minnesota Medical Association Foundation’s Reuter-Lien Heath Equity & Well-being Grant for her project “Impact of Language & Ethnicity on the Rate of Unintended Dural Puncture in Patients Undergoing Neuraxial Analgesia for Labor.” Reuter-Lien Heath Equity & Well-being Fund Grants examine health disparities and promote health equity with culturally competent care for marginalized and minority communities within Minnesota.
