Rahmi Oklu, M.D., Ph.D., receives second NIH R01 award in 2017

Rahmi Oklu, M.D., Ph.D. (R-D ’15), Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, received his second a National Institutes of Health R01 award this year. This new award is for $2.17 million to fund his grant “Targeted chemotherapy delivery and capture.” He’ll use the grant to test a novel catheter design to extract unwanted metabolites and drugs from the circulation to prevent drug toxicity.

Dr. Oklu also is an associate professor of radiology.
